Bregman realized the value of boredom-inducing downtime to generate new ideas. The iPad, wielding a superior ability to engage him nonstop, was stealing every such moment.

He had the discipline to give up the device. I imagine millions of others will not. Are they going to be sacrificing future epiphanies? Does the iPad kill the desire for more, different and better experiences by drugging us with an endless stream of entertainment, information, games and more? Is there an Information Addicts Anonymous group yet?
