A guiding principle to consider when designing the future of journalism

With a week left to submit your Knight News Challenge proposal, and with thinkers around the globe still trying to figure out how to make journalism the movement of information thrive in the digital age, I offer this hopefully helpful guiding thought: Focus not on the content or tools you plan on creating, but on how your project might change people.

Figure that out, and the rest will fall into place. Maybe even a chunk of $5 million from the Knight News Challenge. These folks did it, why can’t you?
