Declaration of Digital Freedom: a new Magna Carta focused on the institutions that abuse power in the 21st century

In this essay framing the struggle for power over the Internet in feudalistic terms, Bruce Schneier calls for a new body of rules governing the behavior of the players in the conflict.

He calls it “a new Magna Carta focused on the institutions that abuse power in the 21st century.” How about we call it a Declaration of Digital Freedom (I know, PEN already got on that). And how about we all work on it. To make that easier, I started a public document on Penflip. Jump in, have your say. Let’s make this thing.
