How to view Google Maps offline on your phone

Finally, I can stare at a Google map on my Nexus 4 for those seconds of the day I’m disconnected from the Internet. How? Easy peasy:

1) Open Google Maps;
2) Go the the area you want to capture;
3) Click on the search box;
4) In the screen that pops up (you may need to hide your keyboard), scroll down until you see the button saying, “Make this map area available offline.”
5) In case you haven’t guessed, you’ll need to click that button mentioned in step No. 4.
6) Celebrate.
